Reshaping the construction supply chain with circularity

PhD students from the Faculty of Architecture briefly and concisely present the circular aspects of their current research.

Program

  • 13:30 – 13:45 Welcome
  • 13.45 – 14.00 PhD presentation: Drivers for building component reuse – the phenomenon of circular building hubs
  • 14:00  – 14:15 Interactive activity
  • 14:15 – 15:00 Phd Presentation: Linking EoL with Next Use of Building Components. Lessons from the manufacturing industry
  • 15:00 – 15:30 Workshop: Lessons from the Manufacturing Industry
  • 15:30 – 15:45 Coffee/tea break
  • 15:45-16:00 PhD presentation: Closing Building Component Loops: Aligning Forward and Reverse Processes
  • 16:00 – 17:00 Workshop
  • 17:00 – PhD Poster presentations and drinks

This event serves as a platform for practitioners who strive for circularity in the built environment and want to get in touch with researchers from TU Delft. We, in turn, are curious about what role circular hubs can play in this and how the production sector views scientific research?

In addition to the presentations, the program includes a workshop ‘Lessons from the Manufacturing Industry’ and poster presentations, explained by the PhD students themselves. The afternoon is rounded off with a drink. Plenty of opportunities for making contacts, exchanging ideas and exploring possible collaboration.
