DOCUBATE: WATER CIRCULARITY

Water is essential but often forgotten in circularity discussions. We will screen two documentaries, showing two sides of the issue and host a panel discussion with experts from different fields.

When talking about circularity, water is often forgotten. However, it is the primordial source of life for us all. The water circle is regenerative by nature, but human usage of water reserves alters its quality and quantity, making it a critical resource.

We will screen two documentaries:

Our global water crisis, explained” where the most common issues of our water system are explained. As well as “Countdown to day zero” where we dive into the case of Cape Town’s water crisis and its social and environmental dilemma.

This is followed up by a panel discussion with the movie producer of “Countdown to day zero”, Simon Wood, a TU Delft associate professor in urban water infrastructures, Lisa Scholten, and a consultant and analyst on drinking water reuse at Bilfinger Tebodin, Michiel van der Meer.

The event will take place online via Zoom on the 9th of February 2022 from 17:00 until around 18:15 depending on the discussion!

We are looking forward to seeing you at the debate and hear your questions on the water issue!
